Vehicle: [Year / Make / Model]

Technician: M. Tooker

Status: Estimate Only

Work Recommended

Rear drum brake service including wheel cylinders, brake shoes, hardware kit, drum inspection, and system bleed.

  • Wheel Cylinders: Replace both sides, bleed circuit, verify pedal feel.
  • Brake Shoes: Replace worn/contaminated shoes, clean & lube backing plate, adjust drag.
  • Hardware Kit: Replace fatigued springs/retainers.
  • Brake Drums: Inspect; light resurfacing included if within spec.
  • System Bleed: Full bleed of rear circuit, confirm pedal height.

Labor (Rate: $87.50/hr)

Operation Time Total
Replace rear wheel cylinders (pair) 0.8 hr $70.00
Replace rear shoes + hardware 0.7 hr $61.25
Bleed rear brake circuit 0.3 hr $26.25

Labor Subtotal: $157.50

Parts (Estimated)

Rear brake shoes $18–$32 Hardware kit $10–$18 Brake cleaner $3

Estimated Parts Total: $53–$91

Estimated Total

$210 – $250

Final total depends on part selection and drum condition.

Notes

  • Vehicle should not be driven until hydraulic integrity is restored.
  • If drums are out of spec, replacement will be required.
  • All work documented and verified after installation.

Estimate Pack

Estimate — Cam/Crank Correlation Verification (P1345)

Objective:
Verify CKP/CMP correlation fault (P1345) by confirming mechanical and electrical reference integrity before any component replacement.
Diagnostic Workflow:
• Verify distributor hold‑down torque and indexing
• Check cam retard offset at 1,000 RPM (scan tool data)
• Inspect distributor gear wear pattern
• Check for timing chain slack (crank/cam delay test)
• Confirm ignition reference stability and grounds
• Clear and re‑test correlation values
Labor Breakdown:
Cam/Crank Correlation Verification — 1 hr
Diagnostic Rate — $87.50/hr
Includes scan tool data logging, mechanical inspection, and correlation reset.
Total Labor: $87.50
Notes:
• No parts recommended until correlation values are confirmed out of spec.
• If distributor indexing is off, adjustment is included.
• If mechanical wear is found (gear, shaft play, chain slack), a separate estimate will be provided.
• This test is required before condemning PCM or distributor assembly.
